Fees

Please note that as of WASMEx 2024 there will be no separate fee charged to enter models into the competition. As per previous years everyone - including competitors - will still need to pay the usual door fee to gain entry to WASMEx.

Raffle
As an additional incentive to enter models, this year for every model entered into the competition the competitor will be awarded a raffle ticket. The raffle will be drawn at the start of the prize-giving (on Sunday Afternoon) and the winner will take home a prize to the value of $100.

Competition Pre-Registration

ENTRY FORM

We strongly recommend pre-registration of your competition entries.  This minimizes queuing and will save you time on the day. Pre-Registered models can complete their final check-in starting at 09:30 on Saturday morning which is 30 minutes prior to models that are not pre-registered. Take advantage of this to avoid queues!

In 2024 Pre-Registration for the WASMEx Competition is now open.

  1. Read the Competition Rules and Conditions of Entry to prevent any misunderstandings at the Expo.
  2. Determine which Category your models belong in (enquire to  [email protected] if you require guidance with your pre-registered models).
  3. Click on entryform and follow the instructions on the form. Essentially,  download the form and fill it in either by typing in the relevant information or, print it out and fill it in by hand.
  4. Once you have completed your form e-mail it  to the competition coordinator at [email protected]. We accept either completed (typed) PDFs or clear scans of manually filled in forms. The competition coordinator will  transfer the information into the competition database prior to the event.
  5. On the day, turn up with your entries and a copy of your pre-registration form between 09:30 AM and 1:00 PM, scrutineers will check that the model is in the correct category and  complete the final step in the registration process.  (Note that pre-registered models can be scrutinized and fully checked-in from 09:30AM).
  6. Place your entries on the competition tables.

Note that up to six models can be entered on each form. To enter more than six models just submit additional forms. There is no limit on how many models each competitor can submit.

You can choose to complete the entry form either electronically or by printing it out and filling in with pen and ink then scanning and e-mailing the scan. The choice is yours, however please make sure that any handwriting is very clear.

On the day, turn up with your entries between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM and place your entries on the competition tables.

Registration on the day

You are welcome to register on the day. The process and paperwork is very similar to that outlined above but will take more time  and will result in more queuing.

  1. Read the Competition Rules and Conditions of Entry to prevent any misunderstandings.
  2. Turn up at Cannington with your models, between 10:00 AM and 1:00PM.
  3. Determine which Category your models belong in (discuss with scrutineers if you require guidance)
  4. Fill out the paperwork
  5. Present paperwork to the Competition Coordinator who will then complete the data entry.
  6. Place your entries on the competition tables

Adobe PDF Ready

Please note that the entry form file is in Adobe PDF format .  You will require a PDF reader in order to view, fill-in and print the form. If you do not have a PDF reader you can get Adobe Reader here for free.
