Showcase Challenge 2026 - EMERGENCY SERVICES

Picture
Showcase Challenge 2026  ‘Emergency Services’

The intent of the 2026 Showcase Challenge is to highlight, commemorate and celebrate Emergency Services that provide humanitarian assistance to people in need.

Emergency services include Fire, Ambulance, Police, SES and similar services.  They also include any military subjects that are modified or specialised for ‘non-combat’ emergency response such as medical units, fire-fighters and military police.

Inclusions:

  • Any subject (equipment, person, animal) who is involved with humanitarian Emergency Services; Fire Brigades, Ambulance Services, Police Services, Search and Rescue Organizations and similar.
  • Military subjects are permitted if they are clearly identifiable as serving a humanitarian emergency response function.  For example, military ambulances, fire-fighting equipment and military police on humanitarian duties are permitted.
  • The subject may be fictional – Thunderbirds are Go!

 Exclusions:

  • Military equipment or personnel primarily associated with combat rather than humanitarian roles.
  • Superheroes. Fictional characters with ‘super-powers’ or ‘extraordinary abilities’ and / or associated vehicles are excluded.
  • ‘Accidental or incidental Heros’. Equipment or people who assist in emergencies by chance rather than by being part of a formal humanitarian emergency response service. For example, a commercial ship that comes to the aid of another ship is not eligible.

To ensure eligibility please choose a subject which clearly falls within these criteria.
If you wish to build a model that you believe ‘fits the intention of the challenge’ but falls outside the strict letter of the eligibility guidelines or if in any doubt at all, then please contact [email protected]
who will discuss with the chief judge for a final determination.
Please also note that if you choose a subject which is not visibly & obviously associated with emergency services we may request documentation to prove it was used for this purpose.
