Showcase Challenge 2025 - RACING CARS
The theme for the 2025 Showcase challenge is ‘Racing Cars’. The intent is to celebrate the history, spectacle, performance, technology and excitement of cars used in competitive, legal, motor racing. To be eligible the subject must be a racing car.
The following definitions will be used to determine the eligibility of each model:
Car: A road vehicle with a driver, an engine and four single wheels, generally designed to carry either just the driver or the driver plus a small number of passengers. The vehicle may also be capable of carrying a small amount of luggage or cargo.
Race: A legal, organised motor-sport competition to determine best speed over a set route, track or circuit or between specific locations. Such races can be in the form of a direct ‘side by side’ race or in the form of time-trials.
Racing Car: A high-performance car specifically designed or altered for competitive racing on tracks or circuits.
With these definitions we can distinguish between eligible and ineligible subjects.
